The township of Hay, located in the Riverina area on the Murrumbidgee River in NSW, half way between Sydney and Adelaide plays host to the Australian Hay Mini Nationals held annually on the June long weekend. Individuals and families, some being 2nd and even 3rd generation Mini enthusiasts, bring their vehicles from all over Australia to attend this event and Say “G’day” to Hay in our own special way as we close off their main street and fill it with the rumbling sounds of 100 plus mini’s. The event consists of a welcome party on the Friday night, a Parade down the main street on Saturday morning followed by one of the most spectacular show and shines around. Then on the Saturday night we have a more low key but great fun quiz night and catch up with mates for a few laughs and tall tales. Then on the Sunday morning the main event kicks off starting with the Hay Mini Nationals Motorkhana, where it is expected that there will be in excess of one hundred entrants.
